COTERIE FOR THE REVOCATION OF -FALLEN-

August opened with the attempted creation of the coterie to investigate the revocation of Albion's -fallen- status by the Royal Harpy Alanah Chambers which incited further verbal sniping between the Royal Harpy and William of Taunton. Competition for some of the places was high - while others were noticeable by their absence. Alanah Chambers, the Royal Harpy, Elizabeth Standish, Toreador Clan Head and Sir James Woseley, Prince of Glasgow all offered themselves as the Toreador representative. William of Taunton, backed by the Prince of Bristol was offered for the Nosferatu, but quickly snubbed by Alanah on the basis that the positions were for Princes only. Alexander Prince of Leeds offered himself for the Gangrel and Nathaniel Prince of Vectis for the Malkavian. James Tyrell, Prince of Stoke on Trent recommended Gladstone, for the Brujah, and Armandius requested that Mr. Hargreaves, Prince of Winchester represent Clan Tremere. Pallidum noted that there appeared to be a disproportionate number of Toreador in the Coterie, and the planning ground to a halt for a while.

Aiden proposed that the prince of each clan with the highest status should attend, the meeting chaired by the Royal Harpy. Listing the coterie as; Lady Standish of Edinburgh - Toreador, Prince Grant of the Imperial Domain of Huntingdon - Brujah (unless the matter of Brujah Clan Head were to be settled in the meanwhile), Prince St Albans of the Imperial Alliance of London - Ventrue , Prince Armandius of Leicester - Tremere, Prince Pallidum of Bristol - Nosferatu, Prince Nathaniel of Isle of Wight or Prince Jaster of Oxford - Malkavian. and Prince Connor of Carlisle or Prince Williams - Gangrel. On the 22nd the 'final' Coterie was announced by Alanah Chambers with the backing of Lady Ardelia, Marshall of the South , and the Office of the Lord Protector as Lady Witsun St. Albans, Head of Clan Ventrue, Lady Elizabeth Standish, Head of Clan Toreador, Treponema Pallidum, Head of Clan Nosferatu, Lord John Gladstone, Head of Clan Brujah, Lord Armandius Etienne de Marigne, Head of Clan Tremere, Prince Alexander Elwher of Leeds, of Clan Gangrel and Prince Louis Elavil of Derby, of Clan Malkavian with the chair to be Alanah Chambers of Clan Toreador, Royal Harpy of Albion.

Treponema Pallidum respectfully requested his resignation due to other commitments, asking that Jonathan of Gaunt, Prince of Lancaster, represent the Nosferatu Clan. Sir Henry Pelham, Prince of Canterbury asked to represent clan Tremere in the absence of Armandius.

Aristine, now merely an Elder of Clan Brujah congratulated Alex of Newcastle on his praxis seizure, and prodded the volatile Brujah to select a clan head. On Thursday Aug 2, Aidan of the Northern Imperium declared his intention to become Clan Head Brujah, followed almost immediately by a declaration by Gladstone Prince of Liverpool to do the self same thing. The Brujah support began to polarise, with intercessions by Anna Grey the Brujah Primogen of Carlisle and Travis the Brujah Primogen of Birmingham. By Mid August, the harpies were reporting Brujah rampaging all over the place in Liverpool, and Prince Gladstone working himself into a right temper, with rumours that was heading North. According to the Harpies, apparently Alexis and Gladstone travelled to Northumbria, Aiden threw Alexis through a wall, Gladstone declared himself Clan Head and Aiden lost his temper and challenged Gladstone to a duel to settle the matter.

As Aiden pummelled Gladstone, Patrick Warleader of Clan Brujah intervened and stood between the fighters. Aiden went to strike his grandsire and Patrick put the smackdown on Aiden. It would appear from Gladstone's declaration of the 20th that he is Clanhead of the Brujah. Aiden began to verbally assault the way in which the new clan head had been accepted (not the clan head) in what has become typical for the Brujah of Albion, including Patrick and Alexis in his ranting. Aiden finished by banishing Patrick, Warleader of Clan Brujah, Aristine, Elder of Clan Brujah and Alexis, Prince of Newcastle from the Northern Imperium. Alexis Raines riposted by banishing Aiden (Prince of the Northern Imperium), Constantine Kinslayer (Keeper of Elysium for the Northern Imperium), Jim Grey (Herald of the Northern Imperium), Peri (Childe of Aiden) and Anna Grey (Brujah Primogen of Carlisle) from the Domain of Newcastle. The slanging match continued between Aiden, Alexis and Anna Grey. Towards the end of the month Patrick announced his intention to see Anna Grey in Carlisle. Meanwhile Gladstone was congratulated by many of the influential Kindred of Albion. Towards the last quarter of the month Magenta, Lasombra Magistra of York began to verbally spar with Aiden, accusing him of stating that the Northern Imperium does not recognise the edict of the Lord Protector, she declared Aiden Caitiff and was backed by Witsun and the Royal Harpy in this claim. Gladstone and Magenta then entered long and involved argument in which magenta pressed for the answers to 3 questions from Gladstone, St. Albans and Pallidum.

Is it right for Kindred of lower status to contradict those Kindred of higher status?

Does Clan come before Sect?

Should a breach of Secular Law can be swept aside in the name of the Clan?

While Gladstone worked his way around the questioning - he did confirm one thing - that he understood that his clanmates Raven and Pheonix were bloodhunted, and that Clan Brujah would make it's own arrangements in solving that matter, not requiring the assistance of the York tzimisce scourges.

There was confusion in Birmingham as Ventrue prince Marcus Brandt welcomed Malcolm Beaufort as Brujah primogen - to the dismay of the serving primogen member Travis. Magenta offered assistance in solving the problems, and Marshall Micheal announced that someone had dominated Marcus into making the announcement. Witsun offered one of the candidates a place on her primogen in London - a post left unoccupied since the departure of Aristine. Witsun and Gladstone achieved much of their old form in verbal sparring, followed by a short period of quiescence.

The number of Toreador on the coterie to rid Albion of the -fallen- status appeared to upset Treponema Pallidum, a fact not helped by the continued tension between Gangrel Alexander Prince of Leeds and Treponema Pallidum of Bristol (clan head Nosferatu) over an apparent distrust of the Nosferatu to stay in one area and behave themselves which helped to heighten the inter-clan tensions between Toreador and Nosferatu. The Nosferatu corner was strengthened by the sniping of William against Alexander. Although the overtures for settlement were made - it would seem that tensions are still running high.

Early in August the Harpies reported an increase in the kine security in London, closely followed by another Harpy announcement that the Royal Harpy was preparing to move to London. This was confirmed in person by Alanah Chambers on the last day of the month, that she had decided to leave the domain of Sheffield, and take up residence in the Domain of London, taking up the position of Primogen in addition to her duties as Harpy.

Residents of Treponima's Bristol were shocked when a 20 foot tidal wave hit Bristol harbour following a seismic event with an epicentre in the Bristol channel. This did not deter the Prince from declaring Antonius pariah, and letting it be known that Clan Nosferatu will be creating of a new Monastic Order, the Order of the Black Library, which will serve to collect and collate all the dirty little secrets of Albion's Kindred.

The Office of the Lord Protector began to investigate the allegations and aspersions which were cast against Albion of Clan Tremere, Marshal of the North. After the initial enquiry it was decided that Albion Of Clan Tremere was to be suspended as a Marshal of Albion.

Sir Henry Pelham of Clan Tremere, the new Tremere Prince of Canterbury stated that Antonius had been up to his foul tricks and had killed the former Toreador of Canterbury Prince Andre Beaumarais. Several kindred wanted to assist in the investigation of the murder, while others contented themselves with congratulating Sir Henry on his new position

MALKAVIAN

The list welcomed Stephanie the Malkavian primogen of Bath with various degrees of friendliness to downright hostility. Oracular insights or random comments by Stephanie gained interest from Armandius Etienne de Marigne

On the 9 Aug, M (presumably Morpheus) announced the rebirth of the Brothers of the Dragon, slain unjustly at the hand of Mocsica and Devane, and stated that he had taken suitable recompense following the massacre and atrocity that was the so named 'Reconquista of California' by capturing Thaddius, titled by the Camarilla as Nosferatu Justicar of the Americas. Morpheus offered the Camarilla a chance to parley for his life, and invited Mocsica to discuss the terms of the surrender of California to the Free and to the Sons of Morpheus. Treponima pleaded with Mocsica to bargain for the release of Thaddius, and many kindred openly condemned the move, and many were also quick to ask that there be no negotiation with terrorists.

The day after Sons of Morpheus claimed the Anarch Norton, had been responsible for the demise and downfall of Karl Teugen, Imperator of the Realm of Germany, ending the line of the first Imperator, Guillaime St. Clair, freeing the City of Frankfurt. Harpy rumour stated that Senior Archon Bartholomew has been buried in his suite not accepting visitors. Some rumours even said that the Archons are planning to withdraw from Albion, and that there would be a handover of power between themselves and the Lord Protector.

Magenta questioned Antonius's status, asking if the murder of a prince constituted a breach of the treaty of York if he was an Anarch as alleged. Jacob denied that Antonius was an anarch, and this was finally confirmed by Treponima, that Antonius is pariah.

On the 15 Aug Morpheus announced that the Archon James White, a Gangrel operative of Mocsica, under the name of 'Crowe' had been executed in the domain of Montreal. White had apparently sought to manipulate these Kindred into embracing the Camarilla, when their elders were slain by Garou. The note was finished on chilling lines "Let the message of the Sons of Morpheus be heard. None of you are safe. No Prince, No Archon, No Justicar." This would seem to be born out by the Bombs in Spain reported on the 20th, and by the speech of Mocsica, in which he stated he would not negotiate with the Anarch terrorists.

Lucien of clan Toreador, seized Praxis as Prince of Gloucester, and immediately declared his predecessor bloodhunted throughout the domain.

Sir Henry Pelham of Clan Tremere claimed Praxis of Canterbury with the full support of the Primogen,
